He has over two decades of experience working in scores of countries, including some of the world's most dangerous places: Israel, Iraq, Angola, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Soviet Central Asia and Former Yugoslavia.
Jack's work has also been exhibited in major national galleries worldwide.
1995: AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL 'YES' an exhibition of photographs dedicated to the resilience of the human spirit at the Myer Gallery, Melbourne.
1995: VISA POUR L'IMAGE PERPIGNAN, FRANCE 'Genocide Rwanda' Audiovisual projection.
1999: POSITIVE LIVES 'Positive Responses to HIV'. An exhibition to change attitudes about HIV/AIDS at the ASN Gallery Sydney.
1999: LEICA/CCP Documentary Photography Exhibition + Award at the Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne. This exhibition toured a further eight galleries around Australia.
1999: REPORTAGE 'A celebration of Australian Photojournalism' at The Valhalla Cinema, Sydney.
2000: THE AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM 'Body Art', an exhibition about body adornment among indigenous peoples around the world.
2001: SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL GALLERY, CAPE TOWN 'Positive Lives' a response to HIV/AIDS

2003: AUSAID 'positive. negative' an initiative to fight HIV/AIDS in neighboring countries. This exhibition toured regional and rural Australia.

He holds a MVA, (High Dist.) from Griffith University in Australia.

His clients have included, German Geo, Stern, De Spiegel, The New Yorker, Time, Newsweek, L'Express, Granta, Colors Magazine and various others. Jack is the recipient of some of photography's most prestigious awards in reportage photography including, The World Press Awards, The Photographer of The Year Awards (POY) and the Mother Jones/Fifty Crows Grant for social documentary photography. Jack's most recent award was a UNESCO Documentary Award for 2006.
His work has been exhibited and projected several times at the prestigious Visa d' Or Reportage Festival in France.
Jack's work has also been exhibited in major national galleries worldwide.
