Nils' work appears regularly in major magazines including the Sunday Times Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Paris Match, Life and elsewhere.

Nils has been a senior staff photographer at the international press agency Rex Features Ltd in London, for over 25 years.

Nils recently exhibited in a group show 'Onto the Streets' at the Photofusion Gallery, in London, curated by Sophie Howarth from the Tate Modern, and Stephen McLaren. The show is now on a world tour and is presently in Athens (October 2006).

It showcases "the work of an emerging generation of British photographers, notable for their fresh, candid depictions of public life in London. Keenly aware of the history of street photography, these photographers insist on the continued relevance of still photography to capture the unique flux of people, matter and imagery that combine at street level."
