Short Biography
Peter Dench is a keen and astute observer of human nature and in particular some of
the more quirky aspects of life. His strong reportage style, predominantly
in colour, has guaranteed regular commissions from respected publications
including The Sunday Times Magazine, Telegraph Magazine, Weekend Guardian,
Observer Magazine, Stern, Liberation, VSD, Newsweek, GQ, Geo Germany and
Marie Claire. Dench's work has been exhibited internationally including
three projects at the prestigious Visa Pour L'Image Festival of Photojournalism.
In 2002 he was selected for the World Press Joop Swart Masterclass and
In 2003, his project 'Drinking of England', a poignant and often humorous
look at the drinking habits of the English, won a World Press Award for
the 'People in the News Stories' category.

born in Weymouth, Dorset, April 23rd 1972 weighing 10lbs 8ozs (very
fat). Peter Dench lives in London, travelling world wide to complete
projects. Dench is a keen and astute observer of human nature and in
